belong is pleased to announce that as of 1 July 2022, we have merged with Communify, a leading Brisbane-based community organisation that values place-based responses, community development and offering a range of supports tailored to community needs.
Earlier this year, belong approached Communify to propose a merger in the interests of long-term sustainability, and we are delighted to announce that they have accepted.
As of July 1st 2022, Communify is overseeing the management and operations of belong, providing much-needed back office support that will enable us to put all our efforts into our neighbourhood centre at Acacia Ridge. This will ensure that we can continue to support the members of our local community who are in greatest need.
Nothing about how we operate will change once we merge with Communify. Our community groups and activities, training programs, and our services will continue as normal under the new management.
Communify is committed to working with our local communities to provide inclusive, responsive opportunities that encourage participation in community life.
