Emergency Services and Food Relief Directory - closure period 2023/24

With many businesses, programs and services heading into a customary closure period over Christmas and New Year, it can be difficult to know what options are available should you need access to emergency supports.

Some of Communify’s own emergency supports will also have different operating hours over this upcoming holiday period, but we still want to ensure that our community members are supported. That’s why we’ve put together a comprehensive directory of free food services and other emergency services you can access during the Christmas-New Year period.

Food Relief Services available over Christmas/New Year period

The Coffee Brigade Breakfast Van – open 7 days/week including public holidays

  • Stop One: 6:30-7am opposite Fire Station, Ivory St, Fortitude Valley.
  • Stop Two: 7:10-7:25am Just outside the Holman St Ferry Terminal, Kangaroo Point.
  • Stop Three: 7:40-8:10am Top of Wickham Park (Cnr Wickham Tce & Albert St, opposite Soho building).
